Etchings Views on the Thames

Five sepia etchings, each printed on 14.5 x 11cm laid paper, in a purple black and gilt folder, lettered and decorated in gilt, and "With Season's Greetings" printed in gilt on the flap. The etchings are generally clean and bright, (one with some offsetting to the lower margin) in a very good folder, small closed tear to one edge.
The etchings are of :- Above Hurley, Chiswick, Windsor, Near Medmenham, Below Hambledon.
Between 1881 and 1882 Ball created eleven etchings of the Thames, published in two folders as Christmas greetings cards. The etchings were much admired by James McNeill Whistler, who he subsequently worked with.
