Pictorial endpapers with double page colour scene. 18 colour plates, each mounted within a printed border and protected by a captioned tissue guard. Plates are by different artists including, Dulac, Heath Robinson, A.C. Michael, Lewis Baumer, James Thorpe and others. A near fine book, in a very good example of the rare original box.
This is a charmingly presented version of Palgrave's marvellous collection of poetry. Poems are by a great variety of British poets, including Keats, Burns, Coleridge, Dryden, Gay, Wordsworth and many others.
