A beautifully illuminated manuscript on Japanese vellum, after the first edition of Fitzgerald's translation. 8vo in halves, unbound. Manuscript upper cover, titled in black ink with watercolour vignette and watercolour and gilt decorative border, ruled gilt. Thirteen pages of hand-calligraphed initials, dividers and borders illuminated in watercolour. A fine example. Blindstamp of Peter J. Wills, Rubaiyat collector, to first blank.
