First edition. Original maroon cloth in printed dustwrapper. Inscribed by Hughes to his uncle, aunt and cousin on the title page, "To Walter & Alice & Barbara, with love, from Ted, March 11th, 1960." A near fine copy in a very good dustwrapper.
Hughes received six author's copies on 23rd February from Faber (some three weeks before the official publication date). As this inscription is dated in the week prior to the book's publication, it is conceivable that this copy is one of those six.
