W. Somerset Maugham: A Private Collection

This new catalogue of the works of W. Somerset Maugham spans almost 50 years of the author's literary output, from his 1897 debut novel Liza of Lambeth, to his penultimate novel Then and Now, published in 1946.

Some highlights of the collection include some of Maugham's most well known and influential works, including a first edition of The Moon and Sixpence in an exceptionally crisp dustwrapper, a copy of Of Human Bondage inscribed by the author to his fellow writer and translator Sydney Schiff, and a bright copy of the spy stories that influenced the likes of Eric Ambler, John Le Carré and Ian Fleming, Ashenden.

In addition to the trade editions, this catalogue also features a range of signed limited editions of Maugham's books, including Cosmpolitans, Don Fernando, and A Writer's Notebook.
