And Other Stories
The Man With Two Left Feet And Other Stories
Methuen & Co. Ltd., 1917.
First edition. Original salmon cloth titled in black to the upper cover and spine. A very good copy, slightly cocked and faded to the spine with wear to the spine ends and mottling to the upper cover. Internally very good with periodic scattered foxing, more heavily to the preliminary leaves and an abrasion to the front pastedown. Inspite of the faults, still a much better copy than is usually encountered.
One of the rarest of all Wodehouse titles, notable for containing the first appearance in book form of Bertie Wooster and his manservant Jeeves, who both feature in the story Extricating Young Gussie.
Due to the war time paper restrictions, books of this period were printed in small numbers and from poor quality materials, with the result that few survive to this day.
