First UK edition. Original red cloth in pictorial dustwrapper. A very good copy in a good dustwrapper, which has some fading to spine and upper panel and light chipping to the spine ends.
The author's first novel, and science fiction classic about a 1984 style 'technocracy' bent on heating all reading matter to 451 degrees, the temperature at which book-paper catches fire and burns.
