First edition. Original boards with 'ski tracks' design on the upper cover, in pictorial dustwrapper designed by Chopping. Author's presentation copy inscribed to Denise Robins on the front free endpaper "To Denise with best wishes from Ian". A near fine copy in a very good dustwrapper indeed, red lettering on the spine faded as usual.
In October 1963 Fleming presented the awards at the Romantic Novelists' Association, where he met Denise Robins, the then president of the Association, and they "chatted about the burning issue of their profession: should they cross the threshold of the bedroom?" (Lycett). It is likely that he gave Robins OHMSS around this time.
