The second Chapman edition (the first being the large paper issue). Five volumes. 8vo. Each finely bound by Bumpus in half blue morocco over marbled boards with gilt titles and raised bands to spine. All edges gilt. Forty-three black and white plates and a number of diagrams or facsimiles in the text. A near fine set, handsomely presented with just a trace of wear to the corners.
A most scholarly edition with numerous appendices of bibliographic or historic interest.
