First edition. Green cloth with silhouette drawing in dark green embossed on the upper cover in scarce pictorial dustwrapper. A very good copy indeed with the spine slightly darkened and a trace of wear to the ends, in a very good dustwrapper indeed with very slight wear to the corners which has been internally repaired, a partially erased pen scribble to the upper panel and small pen markings to the lower panel, but an exceptionally complete example of a scarce dustwrapper.
The first full length Jeeves & Wooster book, Wodehouse's most popular and enduring characters. Although both make a brief appearance in "The Man With Two Left Feet" (one story) and "My Man Jeeves" (four stories out of eight, all of which were reprinted in Carry On, Jeeves), it is in this novel made up of connected stories, that the pair hit their stride.
