Pictorial endpapers. Nineteen large tipped in colour plates, under captioned tuards guards, plus tipped in 32 black and white plates and line drawings in the text by Ida Outhwaite. The illustrations to this volume are stunning. A very good copy of a notable scarcity. Bright and clean, with bumped corners and light rubs to spine ends and corners.
This book is an impressive production on much larger paper than the trade edition. This edition de Luxe, also has large tipped in plate, both colour and black and white, creating a really striking impression. Due to its size and fragility it is particularly hard to find in collectable condition.
