First edition with illustrations by Arthur Rackham. Tan cloth with gilt lettering and vignette to upper cover. Forty tipped in colour plates, mounted on art paper, under captioned tissue guards. Profusely illustrated with charming line drawings throughout. A very good copy, spine a little darkened, some spotting to the upper cover, and the remains of a bookplate to the front pastedown.
This is one of Rackham's most sought after books, the weaving of magic and fairies perfectly suited to his style.
