Colour engraving to title pages of both volumes, plus tinted engraving. Twenty two full page colour lithographs under tissue guards, each with a matching tinted lithograph, also under tissue guards. 348 colour lithographs in the text, plus many black and white illustrations in the text. Decorative capitals, chapter headings and tail pieces. A very good set with some wear to the corners. Vol. I with a 3 cm closed tear to page 209.
