First edition, variant with 8pp of terminal adverts unrecorded by McIlvaine. Original red cloth with pictorial design in black, blue and pink and lettered to the spine in gilt. Eight back and white plates by R. Noel Pocock. A near fine copy, with just a hint of fading to the cloth on the spine, but bright and crisp with no wear to the enamel and gilt design. An unusually well preserved example of Wodehouse's second book.
