Decorated title page, 4 full page colour, 6 half page as well as tail pieces and initials. Colour printing for these illustrations by Sun Engraving Co. on Basingwerk Parchment paper. A fine copy.
Each edition from the Heritage Press comes with its own Sandglass a four-page pamphlet discussing the illustrator and the importance of the book. Here the pamphlet discusses the genesis of Pushkin's tale, Dulac's "fantastically beautiful" illustrations for it, and the production of the book itself.
