Tymms including coloured frontispiece, title page and colophon. A very good copy, the gilt very bright, with discreet repairs to the spine ends and a touch of wear to the upper joint. Internally very clean. Ownership inscription to front pastedown.
A lavishly illustrated work on the development of Medieval book illumination with examples of artistic styles from the sixth to the sixteenth centuries designed by noted early chromolithograher W.R. Tymms and an essay on methods by architect and designer M.D. Wyatt.
