First edition, deluxe issue in publisher's full soft maroon leather with gilt vignette of Christopher Robin and Eeyore on the upper cover and an elaborately decorated spine. 8vp. All edges gilt and the silk page marker present. The pictorial endpapers and many line drawings are by E.H. Shepard. A clean, near fine copy, with a hint of fading to the spine.
In this book we see the old favourites joined by Tigger and we learn the vital lesson that "Tiggers don't climb trees".
