Later edition. 4to. Publisher's green buckram with brown and green design to upper cover and spine. Top edge gilt and all others untrimmed. Elaborately detailed pictorial endpapers and designs throughout, with twenty-four tipped-in colour plates, each surrounded by a colourful border. A very good copy.
Pogany's Rubaiyat was first published in 1909 in a binding of cloth-backed paper covered baords. This issue, from 1918, is the first in its format, a binding of green buckram.
