First edition. Large 4to. Blue buckram with silver lettering on the spine, in the original pictorial dustwrapper. Eight colour plates, thirty six full page line drawings, and numerous sketches in the text, by Lionel Edwards. A near fine copy, with some fading to the colour on the edges, and a previous owner's inscription on the front free endpaper. In a very good dustwrapper which has a loss to the top of the spine and is a little dusty. Overall a clean and bright copy.
A fine pictorial representation of the "best hunting county in England" [introduction]. Includes some of the country's most famous hunts - The Quorn, The Belvoir, Fernie's and South Atherstone.
