First edition. 4to. Red cloth with gilt titles on the upper cover and spine. The upper cover includes an inserted panel of white buckram, elaborately decorated in gilt, and the spine is stamped with gilt decoration. Top edge red. Sixteen Art Nouveau colour plates mounted under captioned tissue guards (one with very small edge turn) and many line drawings, some full page. A near fine copy, with a little fading to the spine as often, but otherwise exceptionally bright and clean. Some light foxing to page edges. A tiny nick to the corner of p. 121. A lovely copy of a book seldom encountered in nice condition.
