And Other Stories
THE FIRST APPEARANCE OF JEEVES AND WOOSTER
The Man With Two Left Feet And Other Stories
Methuen & Co. Ltd., 1917.
First edition. Original salmon cloth titled in black to the upper cover and spine. A near very good copy with the spine faded and somewhat frayed, particularly at the base of the rear joint. Internally sound with scattered foxing throughout. By no means an unacceptable copy of a book which is seldom offered for sale and invariably in poor condition.
One of the rarest of all Wodehouse titles, notable for containing the first appearance in book form of Bertie Wooster and his manservant Jeeves, who both feature in the story Extricating Young Gussie.
Due to the war time paper restrictions, books of this period were printed in small numbers and from poor quality materials, with the result that few survive to this day.
