First edition. Two volumes. 8vo. Original blue/green cloth with gilt lettering and gilt stamped illustration to upper cover. Prospectus for Ice-Bound On Kolguev by Aubyn Trevor-Battye (Constable, 1895), loosely laid in. The volumes include over 120 illustrations, including sixteen in colour, as well as two folding maps in colour to the rear of each volume. The first volume also has 48 black and white plates, the second has 50. A near fine set, very bright covers, with light foxing to some page edges and some occasional spotting internally. Armorial bookplate of one Ernest St. Clair Pemberton to each pastedown.
