First edition. Publisher's red cloth, title label to spine, in the grey dustwrapper, printed in red and white. Inscribed by Betjeman for Laurie Lee on the front endpaper, within a hand drawn cartouche, "Inscribed for Laurie Lee, a true poet, by John Betjeman, a lesser one XX XIV. XII. MCMCLVIII." A very good copy in a very good dustwrapper, a small chip to the head of the spine and a short tear, with a little loss, to the lower panel.
