First edition. 4to. Glazed pictorial boards with colour illustration to upper cover. Illustrated throughout in colour by Quentin Blake. A very good copy indeed, clean and fresh, with a small abrasion to the front endpaper, presumably from a removed stocker.
In this book Dahl tells in rhyme the "true" version of some well known fairy tales. In Cinderella, for example, Dahl tells us that although we think we know the story "The real one's much more gory."
