First edition. 8vo. Blue cloth lettered in gilt on the spine. Black and white frontis by Jessie M. King, with same illustration on the cover of the wrapper. Further illustrated with black and white photographs. A very good copy indeed.
Jessie King was born and baptised in Kilpatrick, where her Father was Minister between 1870 and 1898. The frontis illustration depicts JMK's recollection of sunsets as seen from the Manse where she was born. Fittingly this was the last book that King decorated, and she died just six months after the book was published.
