First edition. Publisher's red cloth, lettered silver, in the pictorial dustwrapper by Artur Barbosa. Inscribed by Fraser to the title page, "To Jack, with many, many thanks, George." Map endpapers of the Ganges and Jumna Valleys. A near fine copy, with a short closed tear to the front endpaper, in a very good dustwrapper, with some wear to the head of the spine and corners, and a closed tear to the upper panel.
