First edition. 8vo. Original green cloth with gilt titles in pictorial wraparound dustwrapper designed by Steven Spurrier. Cape order flier loosely inserted. Pictorial endpapers in map design and map frontispiece by Spurrier. A fine copy, with slight ghosting to the spine through the dustwrapper as usual, in a fine (price clipped) dustwrapper, which shows a little toning to the spine and trivial wear at its head, but is exceptionally bright and crisp.
The first book in the Swallows and Amazons series and extremely rare in this condition.
