A Play from Kenneth Grahame's Book "The Wind in the Willows"
There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about by a river.
Toad of Toad Hall A Play from Kenneth Grahame's Book "The Wind in the Willows"
Methuen, 1929.
First edition. 8vo. Blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and vignette on the upper cover, in the original printed dustwrapper. Top edge gilt. Loosely inserted is the printed advertising slip for Milne's House at Pooh Corner. A very good copy indeed, just a couple of spots of foxing to the fore-edge. In a very good dustwrapper indeed, clean and bright, with a little wear to the top of the spine.
This play, based on the Wind in the Willows, is described by Milne as having "enough of Kenneth Grahame in it to appease his many admirers, and enough of me in it to justify my name on the title page".
