First edition, two volumes complete in one. Folio. Quarter bound in tan cloth and tan boards, in a dustwrapper. Gilt lettering on the spine. Two colour plates (frontis to each volume) and numerous black and white photographic and line illustrations throughout. A near fine copy in a very good dustwrapper, which is bright and complete, but has a v shaped closed tear on the upper panel and some associated creasing.
