Twenty eight colour plates, under captioned tissue guards, plus numerous black and white drawings all by Elizabeth Butler. A very good copy indeed, faint stain to the upper cover. Previous owner's inscription on the front free endpaper.
One of 3000 copies, originally published at 10/-. The author depicts her travels to The West of Ireland, Egypt, The Cape and Italy via diary excerpts and snapshots from her sketchbook. Includes descriptions of County Mayo, Cairo, Alexandria, Sienna, Tuscany and Rome.
