First edition. Original black cloth in the pictorial dustwrapper. Gladys Mitchell's own copy, with a photograph of her and a friend at Kilpeck Church laid in, and inscribed in her hand to the front endpaper "With Joan at Kilpeck". A fine copy in a near fine dustwrapper, faded a little to the spine.
