First edition. 4to. Paper over boards with colour illustration by Attwell to the upper cover of a little girl sewing. At the front of the book are some of the silks to be used. At the rear is a flap revealing a needle holder plus several of the transfers/ patterns. Pictorial title page printed in red and black, full page of instructions with line drawing and ten full pages of pictures to sew onto "handkies, night-bags, or anything." The pictures have colours to show you which silks to use. A charming and rare item in very good condition, with some general wear and strengthening to hinges.
