Signed limited edition de luxe. Folio. Number 9 of 26 copies, of a total limitation of 300, specially bound and boxed, with an original signed watercolour by Richard Robjent. Signed by author and artist on the limitation page, with an original sepia drawing. Full chestnut morocco, foliate border and vignette of nesting woodcock in gilt on both boards, raised bands to the spine, gilt lettering and vignettes of woodcock in flight in the sections. Foliate gilt turn ins and ivory silk endpapers. All edges gilt. A signed and dated compliments card from Richard Robjent, a Richard Robjent publicity card and a note regarding the original sepia drawing loosely inserted. Housed in velvet lined publisher's clamshell box, tan cloth backed in chestnut morocco with gilt designs to match the book. Twenty four tipped in colour plates by Richard Robjent, under captioned tissue guards, plus numerous sepia sketches throughout. An unqualifiedly fine copy of a sumptuous production.
