First edition. Number 595 of 650 copies on vellum paper. Portfolio with pale blue paper wrappers, lettered in red and navy, with original glassine. Title page vignette in blue. Illustrations in the text printed in both in black and reproduced white and black and gold. Suite of plates "hors texte" including seven colour plates, portrait sketch of Barbier by Charles Martin and two black and white plates. Seven of the plates with duplicates present. An excellent copy, clean and bright.
Two copies each of: portrait by Charles Martin, coloured plates of La Double Maitress, Le Roman de la Momie, Proserpine, Le Long du Missouri and Le Carrosse aux Deux Lezards Verts, plus b/w Avec Les Filles, and Petite Lettre.
