Top edge gilt and others untrimmed. Twenty glorious colour plates mounted under captioned tissue guards. A beautifully presented version of Homer's tale. All in fine condition, with just minimal edge wear to the extremities of the dustwrapper and box.
Original sale price of the volume was £6 6s. "This work should delight not only admirers of Mr. Russell Flint's art, not only lovers of fine printing, but all those, and there may be many, who wish to renew their acquaintance with the thrilling story of the Odyssey." The illustrations were originally painted in 1914, but the outbreak of WWI delayed publication of the book until 1924.
