Deluxe limited edition. Square 4to. Tan cloth printed in yellow and black, text and illustrations printed on Japanese vellum. Twelve lithographic illustrations of the original hand coloured woodcuts. A fine copy, clean and bright. Extremely uncommon and particularly so in this kind of condition.
The artwork for this was mostly completed in 1896, and the book was published in October 1899 although the title page was post dated 1900. The publisher's announcements made no mention of how many copies were published in this limited edition.
