First edition. Original black cloth with red titles in scarce pictorial dustwrapper. A near fine copy with a slightly uneven spine in a very good dustwrapper which has some restoration, particularly to the head of spine, where a chip has been replaced, and repairs to a number of tears and minor edge wear.
The first appearance of Mr. Satterthwaite and his alter ego Mr. Harley Quin. Christie's books of this vintage are uncommon in their dustwrappers.
