A black and white photographic image, with 20 signatures in pen. A fine copy of an ephemeral item.
Signed by almost the entire English cricket team (only Denis Compton being absent), on their way to Australia for the start of the 1954 - 55 Ashes series. Signatures comprising of :- Len Hutton (cpt), Alec Bedser, Bob Appleyard, Johnny Wardle, Trevor Bailey, Peter May, Colin Cowdrey,Tom Graveney, Frank Tyson, Vic Wilson, Reg Simpson, Godfrey Evans, Bob Edrich, Brian Statham, Peter Loader, Keith Andrew, Jim McConnan and including the team management of Geoffrey Howard, George Duckworth and H.W. Dalton.
England won the 5 test series 3-1, retaining the Ashes, but it was also the first time England had won a series in Australia since the 1932-33 season.
