Flickers Sports Series. Three booklets. 64mo (each booklet 5.5 x 7.5 cm). Pink card wrappers lettered in black. Each page a black and white photograph. A near fine set. Uncommon to find these three booklets together in such nice condition. Housed in a custom made clamshell box.
Cine photographs in the form of a "flicker-book", which when flicked shows each of the bowling actions as demonstrated by "Clarrie" Grimmett. Grimmett is thought by aficionados to be one of the finest early leg spin bowlers, and is usually accredited with the development of the "flipper", which was subsequently adopted by his countryman Shane Warne.
