First edition. Oblong 12mo. Original rexine covers lettered in gilt. Ownership inscription of golf enthusiast and rules expert, Richard Stewart Silver. 752 photographic illustrations of Guldahl over 197 pages, flicker-book style. A very good copy indeed, with a little wear to the corners.
Designed in the manner of the traditional flicker-book, with frame by frame photographic shots on successive pages which if 'flicked' simulate a moving picture, but of a larger format so that up to ten different shot are visible on each double page spread with the central portion of the spread devoted to instructional text. Thus in total, nineteen different shots are demonstrated from different angles.
It is thought that in the writing of this book Guldahl so overanalysed his swing that it fell apart, reducing him from one of the best players in the world to barely being able to play.
