Two volumes, both first editions. Finely bound by Bayntun Riviere in full blue morocco with inlaid leather scenes to the upper cover of each volume depicting an elephant and a bear, surrounded by an ornamental gilt border. Raised bands to spine with gilt titles and vignettes. Gilt decorated turn-ins and marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Illustrations in black and white by J. Lockwood Kipling, W.H. Drake and P. Frenzeny. A fine set in a handsome and elaborate binding, housed in a fleece-lined, cloth slipcase.
