Colour vignette title page and frontispiece (in the second state) and six full page colour plates. A good copy which shows some wear to the cloth. Front hinge cracked and lacking rear endpaper. Internally somewhat foxed with occasional marks and marginal loss to the corner of leaf A8.
The author's highlight and one of the scarcest and most celebrated books of nineteenth century children's and adventure literature.
