First edition. Grey cloth lettered red, in a pictorial dustwrapper designed by Abbey. A near fine copy, previous owner's name to front endpaper, in a near fine dustwrapper, which shows a little wear to the base of the spine and corners.
The first full length novel concerning Jeeves and Wooster, the previous books being a series of self contained stories (albeit often connected). The jacket appears to be a variant unrecorded by McIlvaine, with 7/6 as called for in the first edition, but different titles to the rear flap.
