Original green cloth with gilt lettering and decoration to the spine, and gilt vignettes in blind stamped decorative borders to the upper cover. 233 chromolithographic plates of birds nests and eggs. A very good set indeed, exceptionally clean and bright with neat repairs to the joints of volumes one and two, but the overall appearance is most attractive. The contents are in very good order, with a little foxing and the usual occasional looseness between the gatherings.
