Pictorial endpapers, 16 mounted colour plates and a host of full page illustrations, each page being beautifully decorated. A fine copy, in crumpled glassine and slightly worn box.
Pogany has designed and decorated the whole book, where his use of elaborate borders, calligraphic text and Art Nouveau style of artistic detail are well suited to the dramatic telling of this story of sacred and profane love.
