Two volumes. First editions, first and second series. Small 8vo. Each bound in publisher's white buckram, the first volume embossed with gilt design and lettering designed by Jessie M. King and the second with Rodin's illustration "Amore conduce il mondo" decorating the upper cover. Top edge gilt. Colour frontispieces to each volume by Walter Crane. Chapter headings and each page with decorative borders by Jessie M. King. A very good set indeed, just minor dustiness to the covers. Complete and clean internally, volume 1 with pages 87 - 94 bound upside down.
Italian fairy tales of flowers include, How the Orange Blossom Came, The Making of the Heather and The Fashioning of the Forget-me-not.
