The Everest Collection

Seventy years ago, on the 29th May 1953, Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary became the first people to stand on the highest point on earth.

It is one of the landmark achievements in the entire history of exploration, and one that stood on the shoulders of previous expeditions. This collection of books charts the expeditions that led them to the summit of Mount Everest (29,031 feet).

In all, they are a complete set of first editions of the original accounts of British expeditions reconnaissancing and attempting Everest, from 1921 to 1953.

The set is priced at £3,850, and can be purchased here.
