This catalogue charts the development of children’s literature from the earliest stages to the present day through a sequence of books, manuscripts and paintings.

The catalogue includes Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales, from Aesop to Perrault; Victorian Children’s Books by literary giants like Lewis Carroll, Charles Dickens and Rudyard Kipling and twentieth century first editions from Beatrix Potter to Harry Potter. 

Among the highlights are original manuscripts by A.A. Milne, a superb original watercolour by Edmund Dulac and presentation copies of Alice in Wonderland and The Wind in the Willows.
