Pictorial card wrappers. Tipped onto the inside front cover is a note from Bestall to one of his Goddaughters, "for Rose Mary, with love from the Rupert Uncle, Christmas 1948." Cartoon strip drawings printed in colour, written and illustrated by Alfred Bestall. A very good copy, slightly dusty, not price clipped and no ownership inscription.
PROVENANCE: A gift from the author to Rose Mary Hopkins, his Goddaughter.
