First edition. Pictorial blue cloth, lettered in gilt, decorated in gilt, green and white. Top edge gilt. Catalogue of adverts dated 1913 at the rear. Seventy five colour illustrations with captioned tissue guards, and a fold-out map at the rear, some spotting to the map. A very good copy, some page corners lightly creases.

As a keen angler the author is well acquainted with the areas described in the book. Chapters cover the rivers Severn, Wye, Two Avons, Devon rivers, Chalk Streams (including the Thames), Border rivers, Rivers of the South East, the Yorkshire Dales and an East Anglian River (The Ouse).
